Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 20 promised to make the next 5 years a period of “unprecedented growth and prosperity”, in an appeal to the middle class and youth ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
PM Modi, who was delivering the keynote address at the ‘News18 Rising Bharat Summit’ in New Delhi, said that his government is already preparing a blueprint for the first 100 days of his 3rd term as well as the roadmap for the next 25 years.
Taking a dig at his rivals, he said that opposition parties are also making their own plans by “abusing Modi”.
“Today, I have been called Aurangzeb … they are talking about eliminating me,” PM Modi said at the summit.
He also said that the world is now recognising that the 21st century is the time for India.
Today we talk of Viksit Bharat and Atmanirbhar Bharat and everyone is seeing India’s success,” he said.
“In just 10 years our economy has become the 5th largest from the 11th place . Do you think it would have happened so easily,” the Prime Minister asked.
He said “niyat” (intent) is the reason why the country saw such a transformative change in the last decade.
“We have to keep moving ahead with motto of nation first,” he said.
PM Modi: Before 2014, corruption was rampant. The then government was defending this. Today’s government takes strict action against corruption.
